• Managed financial setup with head of finance and business operations, including opening budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Handled insurance requirements, securing relevant policies for operations, staff, and liability
• Established operational systems, including project management tools (Asana), CRM, and internal workflows
• Directed supplier and contractor onboarding, managing contracts, negotiations, and timelines
• Development and execution of the marketing plan, including social media strategy, paid media, PR, and campaign rollouts
• Internal resources establishing team structure and culture
• Created and maintained documentation for risk management
• Managed six-monthly and annual reporting processes to evaluate performance and unlock additional rounds of funding
• Oversaw ongoing performance tracking and optimisation across all business functions
Results
• The successful build and launch of a fully operational, purpose-driven business. Launched on time and on budget, with a clear strategy, strong stakeholder alignment, and the infrastructure in place to scale.

Project Tempo was a unique opportunity to build a brand and business from the ground up. Its goal was to help create a more sustainable and productive society by unlocking faster, effective solutions to global challenges. To do this, Project Tempo required a business strategy, and a brand, that worked globally whilst remaining aligned to a single, purpose-led mission.
As lead project manager, I led the rollout of the brand most importantly in our target countries - France, Poland, Italy, the UK, and the US.
I was also responsible for overseeing the full setup of the business , which included legal and financial structuring, aligning stakeholders across different countries and time zones, and coordinating external partners and suppliers. In addition to leading brand development and launch, I managed the operational planning and delivery of key milestones, team resourcing, and account profitability.
I also took ownership of six-monthly and annual reporting cycles to secure further investment and maintain stakeholder confidence. This project brought together business building, strategic planning, and international delivery. It demonstrated my ability to bring structure to complex challenges and turn bold ideas into real-world results.
The Challenge
Business
As someone who had never built a business before, the process of setting up everything from scratch was a huge learning curve. I had to navigate legal and financial structures, build teams, align global stakeholders, and manage delivery across different countries. I overcame this by breaking complex problems into manageable steps, asking the right questions, collaborating with experts, and focusing on priorities. It was a deep dive into every part of business building — and I came out the other side with a real understanding of how to bring an idea to life from the ground up.
